Life Is Not Determined By Circumstances

O God of Freedom,

There are times when we feel like we are "stuck"
and "chained in" when we wish to be free.

We may be chained in, by a chain of circumstances;
Help us learn or remember that our life is not
determined by circumstances,
but by Your vision and our decisions.

We may be chained to habits, compulsions or addictions.
Help us to know that You have already earned our freedom
So that we may begin to discover how to experience it.

Break our chains, O God;
Bless us with freedom today.
