Hope Is A Bend In The Road

O God of Hope

Sometimes it seems that life is coming at us
faster than we can handle it.

We can't see far enough, fast enough into the future
to know what to expect.

We can't see through the fog of uncertainty,
we wonder what lies ahead.

Lord, when the road seems to stop ahead,
help us remember that hope is a bend in the road.
And that around that bend, beyond what we can see,
You are already there.

Yes Lord, we need something better than wishful thinking;
we need hope.

Give us the gift of hope today.
